Apricot and Plum Fruit Sauce

Looking for a fruit sauce to top a dessert, breakfast, or to go with a cheese plate? This recipe is sweet and tart and very versatile.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cups mashed apricots 3 apricots
  • cups plums 1 plum
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 teaspoon maple syrup

Instructions
 

  • Remove pits from fruit.
  • Dice fruit and combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
  • Cook on medium heat until it begins to bubble (about 5 minutes). Decrease temperature to low heat for about 10 more minutes. Total cook time should be about 15-20 minutes. Stir frequently to avoid sticking.
  • Mash fruit with a fork until smooth. Turn off heat and let sit for at least 5 minutes to thicken.
