Homemade All Purpose Cleaner

This homemade all purpose cleaner is free of harmful chemicals and strong odors and works great on all surface!

Equipment

  • 1 heavy bottom saucepan
  • 1 empty spray bottle

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups distilled water
  • 1 teaspoon super washing soda
  • 1 teaspoon borax
  • 1 teaspoon dish soap
  • 4 tablespoon white distilled vinegar
  • 4 drops optional essential oil * SEE NOTES (lemongrass, pine, spearmint, peppermint, lavender)
  • 1 spray bottle

Instructions
 

  • In a medium-sized saucepan add distilled water, super washing soda, and borax. Bring to a simmer. This is just to dissolve the ingredients. Add vinegar and essential oil, and dish soap and stir.
  • Cook for another minute and turn off heat.
  • Once cooled, transfer cleaner to a spray bottle. Shake slightly before use to reincorporate ingredients.

Notes

*If you're adding essential oils you won't want to use this cleaner on glass, you'll get streaks. Essential oils also may eat up some plastics so use with caution!
