Hello, and welcome to my little world of food and healthy living! I hope you can come to find something familiar, something unique, and most of all something to feed your soul.
I cook and bake because it gives me space. Space to be creative, to get out of my head from the day, and space to show my love to my family. In my house we believe in everything in moderation. So, you'll find a wide range of ingredients including "eat it every day" foods, and "sometimes foods" when you're browsing.
I am a wife, mom, occupational therapist, and passionate about healthy living. Our family puts a lot of effort into clean living in every aspect of our lives. We are mindful about what we put in and on our bodies, the appliances, tools, and toys we engage with daily, and the environment where we're growing our family.
I hope that my website continues to reflect who my family is and what we find valuable in life. You won't find the most glamorous photos, because I'm not a photographer. I don't believe in buying a ton of equipment, extra tools and fluff just to put a pop of color in an image. Yes, it looks wonderful and will be favorable to look at, but it's not who we are, and not how we run our day-to-day lives!
I do most of my cooking at night, in dim lighting, while the family is asleep. If I don't take pictures at that time, then they're taken right before we sit to eat. The food you see is the food I serve. All the food I make is eaten (scraps composted) and I don't believe in making excess food just to deconstruct in cool ways for my blog. I won't make a frosting that's not actually edible, just so it looks nice in a photo. What you will find is delicious recipes that your family will love and healthy living insight to try in your home!

We have a simplistic lifestyle that keeps us grounded in the here and now. We love to be outside (we're in Colorado, how could we not), gardening and playing in the dirt, and feeding our lives in meaningful and purposeful ways.
This blog is my way to share all the wonderful knowledge that my husband and I have learned along the way to create a life of clean living, and good food!
