Whether you’re finding apricots and plums on sale at your local store or you have access to fruit trees, making this Apricot and Plum Fruit Sauce is a must!
You can make this recipe with only apricots, but plums add another level of flavor and tartness that makes it worth the addition. I like to use this easy fruit sauce on crepes. It can also go well with pancakes, or as a jelly in a sandwich.
Ingredients
- Apricots: use fresh, ripe apricots!
- Plums: You can use any type of plum, and I say the more wild the better. However, I often use a red or black plum.
- Water: No need to say more, just use fresh, clean water.
- Maple Syrup: option to replace with honey, agave, or white sugar. If you are using white sugar as a replacement, I would try a little less than the recipe states, then increase to taste if you wish.
